Dentistry performed on ancient dinosaur tooth

Recently a study was conducted wherein diamonds were rubbed over prehistoric dinosaur teeth!

A diamond was rubbed against a 70-million-year-old dinosaur tooth to help reveal insight into the evolutionary success of duck-billed dinosaurs!

The tooth structure is now a massive clue in the mystery of how the dinosaurs migrated so far and lived for so long – right up until the end of the dinosaur age 65 million years ago. It was found that the more eroded the tooth became, the more effective its grinding ability!

Human teeth are not so efficient when eroded…

On the contrary, our human teeth are not supposed to be eroded or worn down. When this does happen, however, the integrity and structure of our teeth can become weak and cause our teeth to break or become decayed.

This is why at Karalee Family Dental we urge our patients and their children to maintain optimal oral health regimes at home.

    Good oral health at home…

A good dental health routine at home should include:

    • Brushing your teeth twice daily, morning and night
    • Always use a soft, rounded bristle toothbrush
    • Flossing between teeth, once a day
    • Visiting our practice once every six months for a routine check-up
    • Maintaining a healthy diet that is low in sugar

Ensure you visit experts in the dental field who can recommend the best treatment for you and your children every time at Karalee Family Dental.
